Santa Ponsa

Santa Ponsa is a popular family orientated resort with an abundance of restaurants, bars and entertainment options. The main sandy beach is ideal for enjoying the sun, whilst the promenade and pinewoods provide some cool relief. The resort comes alive in the evening but is targeted much more at all ages of visitor, unlike neighbouring, lively Palma Nova and Magalluf. The nearest big market to Santa Ponsa is Andraitx where visitors can discover a mass of bargains, from lace furnishings to leather handbags.

Palma Nova

Palma Nova was one of the first purpose-built holiday resorts on the island and is still a popular package holiday destination. The original harbour, once used for fishing, is now a swanky marina and sailing club. The rest of the resort is modern with a range of hotels, aparthotels and apartments, a promenade fringed with a selection of bars, cafes and restaurants and two sandy beaches offering watersports in summer. A good public bus service connects Palma Nova to the shops of Palma and has a lively nightlife.

Magalluf

Famous for its bars, restaurants and white sands, the town of Magaluf on Mallorca’s southern coast is a popular summer location for revellers seeking nightlife and good times. A large number of businesses catering specifically for British tourists means that Magaluf is far from being a traditional Mallorcan town, but this does guarantee that familiar food and drink is readily available. During the day, the beach is the place to be and whether you want to lay back and soak up the sun or participate in some water sports there is plenty to see and do. Magaluf’s action packed nightlife is ideal for lively adult clientele.

Alcudia

Alcudia is located on the north coast of Majorca and is a quiet resort with clean sandy beaches. The port and resort lies at the western end of the magnificent Bay of Alcudia, which runs for over eight kilometres through Playa de Muro and onto the resort of C'an Picafort in the east. Alcudia offers a variety of water sports and beach bars and cafes however the majority of evening entertainment is hotel based with only a small number of late bars and nightclubs located within the resort. Alcudia is a good quality mainstream beach resort, which is especially suitable for families.
